Motivated by truncations needed for quantum simulations of field theories, we (Gabriele Calliari, Robert Ott, Hannes Pichler and myself) studied "field digitzation scaling" in classical-statistical clock models. Our results --- obtained by a combination of analytical renormalization group calculations, effective field theory arguments and numerical tensor network simulations --- are now published in Phys.
